Filler Injection

Soft tissue fillers, or “fillers” for short, are products that are used to fill up flaws in the soft tissues of the face, such as wrinkles, folds, and dents. Some fillers are designed to add volume to specific areas of the face, such as the cheekbones or the chin, and are frequently used for lip enhancement.

There are numerous products available on the market. The most fundamental distinction is between non-permanent fillers that dissolve naturally after a period of time and permanent fillers that remain permanently embedded in the tissues.

Most non-permanent fillers are safe to use, but it’s still a good idea to ask for fillers that are widely accepted or FDA approved, such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, and calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres.
Fillers are injected directly into the treatment area, usually after a topical anesthetic cream has been used.

Depending on the type of substance and the treated region, the impact is instantaneous and lasts between 2 and 18 months.
    10-20 minutes in length

Anesthesia: Usually a topical anesthetic cream, however a local anesthetic injection is used occasionally.

On the face, strategic spots are designated as appropriate injection sites for the filler.

Injections are usually well tolerated, although using a cold instrument to cool the area, anesthetic lotion to numb the skin, or a local anesthetic injection can aid.

Injecting, massaging, and analyzing the results are completed, with additional filler added as needed.

Once the results are satisfactory, any markings will be wiped off, and an ice pack will be applied to reduce swelling and relieve any discomfort. Although the area may be uncomfortable for a day or two, it is usually not painful enough to necessitate treatment.
